Sorting

I think I’ve decided how I’m going to sort my trinkets in my drawers.

I think I’m gonna go by color. It’s a new one for me, I’ve never sorted my items by color before and I think it would be a welcome change of pace. Looking at a drawer full of nothing but army men isn’t that inspiring to me now, but a drawer full of nothing but pink items sounds enticing to me.

I went to the antique store today and bought two mystery jars of trinkety items and plastic detritus, so I have quite a few new things I can sort now too.

If I organize by color I’ll have the chance to try my hands at flat-lays, like @office.of.collecting on Instagram. They are a museum dedicated to collecting small detritus from all times of history to document, store, display and preserve these tiny objects.

I’ll either livestream or Timelapse me organizing my color-coordinated collection. I have a lot of beads that are overflow from my new color coded bead storage, and I may throw them in with the other color drawers as a more permanent solution, since they currently are loose in an open container.

Anyways, this was a last-minute post since I’ve become very forgetful with these blogs. Now that I mention that, I guess I have no real reason to do these daily. I like posting so I’m not going to not try and post daily but I won’t be too beat up if I can’t come up with anything crazy insightful.
