Photos Of Myself Through the Years
Self-Portraiture
I feel like I’ve grown to have a large sense of self. Not only do I take many selfies for fun, but to document. Oftentimes I can look at a picture and remember how I felt in that moment. Aside from facial expression, you have no idea what I was going through in that moment. When my anxiety was especially bad last year, I started taking photos of myself every time I had a panic attack. This was eye-opening to me. This semester, I tried flipping that, and during my growth and healing (weekly therapy) I documented when I was having a good time, whether that be a walk, or just sitting in my dorm. My new-to-me camera, the Kodak EasyShare Z650, is small enough that I can carry it everywhere with me and be able to take a non-iPhone photo when I want to take a picture (not that that has stopped me from using my phone as much, however).
